Fin McGuinness

Fin McGuinness

I am Fin McGuinness and I am 75 years old. I used to be owned by a boy called Jimmy Patricks, and this is the story of when I got abandoned.

It was the summer holidays and Jimmy was going to the seaside. Jimmy and his family lived in Ireland and they owned a farm. Jimmy and his brother were very excited and couldn’t wait to get there. When they arrived I was all tucked in next to Jimmy and I couldn’t wait! As soon as we got to the beach, Jimmy grabbed me and ran down to the sea. He swung me around and around until I felt very dizzy.

Jimmy ran back to the car to get his kite. The wind was the best ever for flying kites! He flew it higher and higher, it was so much fun. Until, the next day…

Jimmy and his family went into the small seaside town the next day and bought me along with them. We were walking down the street and we decided to take a look in the pet shop. I knew that Jimmy and his brother have always wanted a dog and today was their lucky day. They were buying a black and white dog, and it was very scruffy.

When we got back to the seaside Jimmy ran with me and Rocky (The dog.) and we had so much fun. We sat down on a rock and had an ice cream and then Jimmy went back to the car with Rocky, but without me! I was left there, in the cold sea breeze. When it got darker, it got lonelier and it got colder. I was abandoned.

I’ve now set out on a new adventure and  I’ll need some help along the way but I’m sure that if I meet the right people they will assist me in my goal of travelling the world. If you are one such person then thank you so much.Take good care of me. Keep me for a few days or weeks and keep a record of what we get upto. It would be great if you could send home some photos to my home. You can do that here by completing this form. When you are ready to pass me on to another kind person then please be careful whom you choose. It should be someone of good character and nature, a person you can trust to continue my tales.
